Why Choose Lancer?

Lancer's exclusive construction process offers many advantages over aluminum (and even other fiberglass boats). They are:

Quieter, smoother ride than aluminum
Less bounce at cruising speeds
No unsightly rivet seams
Doesn’t crease, bend, dent or ding as easily
Easier to repair
More affordable

No wood means no rot.
Our fiberglass stringer system means your boat is rigid enough to take whatever punishment you can dish out.

Responsive handling thanks to stick steering.
It's like flying vs. driving. Stick steering means direct, positive control with less kickback than conventional systems.

Takes the rough stuff with ease.
Lancer boats have a smooth ride thanks to our Semi-V hull design. Compared to a flat hull design, Lancer boats handle rough water and chop with ease.

Nearly endless customization options.
A wide range of options allows you personalize your Lancer boat to meet your needs and tastes.

Stability.
Wider than most of the competition’s boats, Lancer boasts more stability while you reel in the Big One that’s not going to get away!

Wide power options.
With the ability to handle up to a 60hp motor, you can get there fast.

Peace of mind.
A standard 5-year warranty gives you piece of mind that your boat is built to last.

What’s new.

When Floyd’s Fiberglass Products, Inc. purchased Lancer boats, our priority was preserving the family tradition of quality and excellence that defines Lancer boats. However, we saw some areas on which we could improve and make Lancer boats even better.

We’ve eliminated all the wood from Lancer boats. Instead we use modern, innovative composites for our transoms and floors. These cutting edge materials are impervious to water and will not rot, insuring your boat will be a source of pleasure, not aggravation, for years yet to come.

We’ve engineered a unique fiberglass stringer system that gives our boats additional floor support and improved hull support. This means your Lancer boat will feel rigid, like a quality boat should, not flimsy like some cheaper boats do.

Lancer boats are made using only high quality resins and gels. You won’t find any economy grade materials used in our boats just to save a little money. The higher grade materials we use won’t break down over time and use, resulting in the failure of your boat.

How we do it.

Typical open mold fiberglass products such as small 8’ to 16’ boats have traditionally been constructed with smooth outer hull surfaces. Using our production system, we can attain finished parts that are smooth both inside and outside.

Production standards.

The assigning of a coded number imbedded in each one of our boats during the lamination process provides the guarantee of a standardized production history, which maintains quality control.

Who buys Lancer boats?

People who enjoy fishing on small ponds to large lakes, rivers and larger bodies of open water, including bay areas. This includes a broad range of sport enthusiasts, such as bass fishermen, duck hunters, crappie fishermen, or just everyday small boat operators. Most Lancer boats can be carried in a standard size truck bed because of their light 200 lb weight, not including motor. A trailer with a custom hull fit is also offered as a complete package.
